Bobby Kenneth Ruff

Bobby Kenneth Ruff, 81, died Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Providence Hospital. Born in Saluda County and a son of the late James Madison and Irene Werts Ruff, he was the husband of Kay Johnson Ruff. Mr. Ruff was a retired Lt. Colonel with the South Carolina National Guard. He was former salesman for Spartan Quality Feeds and was owner and operator of Bobby K. Ruff's Rentals. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church and was a former deacon and church treasurer and a member of Hollywood Ruritan Club. Surviving are his wife, Kay Johnson Ruff, a son, Ken Ruff (Lisa) of Saluda, a daughter, Lea Ann Sorensen (Stephen) of Roebuck and six grandchildren, Cole Ruff, John Ruff, Tyler Sorensen, Lydia Sorensen, Jesse Sorensen and David Sorensen. The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 p.m., Thursday afternoon at Ramey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, November 25, 2016 at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Jerrod Marshall and Rev. Burton Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Boy's Farm, P.O.
