Floyd William "Bub" Crouch

Floyd William "Bub" Crouch passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015. He was born November 24, 1927 to the late John Floyd and Bernice Derrick Crouch. "Bub" graduated from Saluda High School where he played football. After graduation he was employed at the Palmetto Hosiery Mill in Saluda. In 1951 he was drafted into the army and served in the Korean War with the 45th Infantry Division until 1953. He returned to his job at the hosiery mill until it closed. He then went to work for Edwards Oil Company where he was employed for 42 years. He was a member of the American Legion. He was a lifetime member of Gassaway United Methodist Church where he served on the Board for several years. Survivors are his nephews, Kevin A. Crouch, Sr. and John Kendall Crouch, a great-nephew, Kevin A. Crouch, Jr. and sister-in-law, Barbara J. Crouch. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, John Kendall Crouch, Sr. Visitation will take place Friday, March 6, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ramey Funeral Home, Saluda, S.C. Services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Gassaway United Methodist Church, McCormick Highway, Saluda, S.C. with Rev. Dan Bradley officiating. Memorials may be made to Gassaway United Methodist Church in care of Dianne Shuler, 2341 Old Chappells Ferry Road, Saluda, S.C. 29138.
