Marzell Hyler Griffin

Marzell Hyler Griffin, 90, died Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Saluda Nursing Center. Born in Saluda County and a son of the late Columbus and Marie Bledsoe Hyler, she was the wife of the late Claude Earl Griffin. Mrs. Griffin was a homemaker and was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. Surviving are a son and daughter in-law, Jimmy L. and Phyllis Griffin of Saluda, a sister, Etta Bradley of Saluda, a son in-law, Oliver Rollins of Saluda and six grandchildren, Duane Griffin, Michael Griffin, Tonja Bradberry, Angie Robertson, Jeff Rollins and Brian Rollins, a step-granddaughter, Debbie Efird and eleven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Zell Rollins, a sister, Alberta Goodman and two brothers, C.E. Hyler and Malcom Hyler. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Bethany United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
