Paul Douglas Price

October 25, 1934 - March 18, 2016

Paul Douglas Price, 81, died peacefully Friday, March 18, 2016 at his residence. Born in Greenwood County and a son of the late Charles Marion and Irene Stevens Price, he was the husband of the late Olien Cockrell Price. He was first married to the late Jean Ouzts Price. Mr. Price was a mechanic and heavy equipment operator and owner of Price Construction. He was a member of Chestnut Hill Baptist Church and was a Mason and Shriner. Surviving are two sons, Teddy D. Price (Nancy) and Timmy P. Price (Lori) both of Ninety Six, a daughter, Tambi P. Haynes (Johnny) of Ninety Six, four brothers, Allen Price (Margaret) of Abbeville, Tommy Price (Tina), Charles Price (Joyce) and Danny Price all of Ninety Six, a sister, Jane P. Calhoun (Donnie) of Ninety Six, ten grandchildren, Amy Goldman, Doug Price (Angie), Robbie Price (Bobbie), Alicia Price, Brittany Cobb (Stuart), Garrett Price, Cameron Price (Breanna Driggers), Storm Blalock, Jessica Williams (Dusty), Alison Haynes and fiancé, Corey Barnes, twenty-two great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and two stepsons, Kimball Jones (Denise), Bill Jones and family. Mr. Price was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Price (Kathy). Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Chestnut Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Shuler, III and Rev. Chuck Sprouse officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Ave., Greenwood, SC 29646 or to any cancer charity of one's choice.
