Alberta Hyler Goodman, 90, died Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Saluda Nursing Center.

Born in Saluda County and a daughter of the late Columbus Eugene and Georgia Marie Bledsoe Hyler, she was the wife of the late James Olin Goodman. Mrs. Goodman was a homemaker and she attended Deans Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Helen Rodgers (Buddy) and Jean Warren (Arthur) both of Saluda and Judy Rush (Bernie) of Greenwood, a son, Marvin O. Goodman of Saluda, two sisters, Marzelle Griffin and Etta Bradley both of Saluda, nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and seventeen great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Goodman was preceded in death by two brothers, C.E. Hyler and Malcolm Hyler, a granddaughter, Melissa Fields, a great-granddaughter, Chandra Fields, a great-grandson, Mykal Jones and two great-great-grandsons, Tariq Robinson and Asa Robinson.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Deans Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. William Yon and Rev. Ray Southerland officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany United Methodist Church Cemetery.
