Alfred Connelly
Alfred Brooks Connelly, 93, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Saluda Nursing Center.
Born in Saluda, he was the son of the late Willie Brooks and Sammie Lou Hare Connelly, and husband of Dora Helen Shealy Connelly. He was a World War II Army veteran and owner of Connelly Farms. He also was a member of Nazareth United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Dora Helen Shealy Connelly, a son, Sammy S. Connelly (Aileen) of Batesburg, two grandchildren, Anna Connelly of Batesburg and Joshua Connelly (Alexys) of Buffalo, five step-grandchildren, Meredith Miller-Rikard (Brandon) of Saluda, Jocelyn Snider (David) of Gilbert, Neysa Quattlebaum (Fred) of Batesburg, Hall Miller (Amber) of Leesville and Keegan Miller (Charley Ann) of Columbia, and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19, a private graveside service will be held Friday, July 31, 2020 at Nazareth United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Joe N. Long officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nazareth United Methodist Church, Cemetery Fund, 2943 Columbia Highway, Leesville, SC 29070.
