Alice Polatty

Alice Ruth Sease Polatty, 91, died Monday, April 19, 2021 at Saluda Nursing Center.

Born in Saluda County and a daughter of the late Willie L. Sease and Ruth Holley Sease, she was the wife of the late Thomas Andrew Polatty. Mrs. Polatty was retired from the Saluda Shirt Plant and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Tommy Aaron Polatty of Steadman and Wilbur Pickens Polatty (Peggy) of Saluda, two brothers, John A. Sease of Leesville and Jimmy L. Sease of Leesville, two sisters, Rosell S. McCracken of W. Columbia and Evelyn S. Sheffield of Saluda, four grandchildren, Lisa P. Donahue (Rick), Chad Polatty (Brandi), Andrew Polatty (Elizabeth) and Caleb Polatty (Emily), and seven great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Polatty was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Audrey Polatty, and two sisters, Mary Johnson and Jonell Risinger.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Good Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy Beauford officiating. Interment will follow immediately in Mayson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
