Alyne Collins

Alyne Trotter Collins, 90, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at Hospice House of Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont.

Born in Saluda and a daughter of the late Clint and Louise Rogers Trotter, she was the wife of the late Harry Elbridge Collins. She retired from Knight Industries where she worked in the cutting department and was also a member of Gassaway United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Gina Logue (Billy) of Edgefield and Patricia Swain (Chadwick) of Savannah, GA, a son, Glynn Collins (Becky) of Statesboro, GA, three grandchildren, Matthew Collins, Heather Cary and Brieanna Burnett, two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Tanner Dunlavy of Savannah, GA, and special nieces and nephews, Kathy and Randy Brazzel and Chris and Jamie Lanham of Eastover, SC.

Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Collins, and two brothers, Ike Trotter and Oscar Trotter.

A graveside service will be held at 1 PM, Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Emory United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ken Freeman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the Social Hall.
