Amy Moore

Amy Frances Moore, 62, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Lexington Medical Center surrounded by her family.

Born in Greenwood, SC, Ms. Amy was the daughter of the late Donald Rudolph Moore and Frances Lucille Berry Moore. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with them, celebrating their accomplishments, sharing stories, and creating memories they will cherish forever. Her love for them was steady and unconditional, and she poured her heart into being a constant source of comfort, encouragement, and warmth in their lives.

Dedicated to living her life with purpose and quiet strength, she approached each day with determination and grace. She had a special talent for sewing and found peace and satisfaction in creating with her hands. Whether mending, quilting, or crafting thoughtful gifts, her stitches were always sewn with love. She also enjoyed playing word puzzles, keeping her mind sharp and relishing the challenge of finding just the right answer. In her quieter moments, she could often be found enjoying her favorite programs on TV Land, especially classic television shows like Gunsmoke.

Surviving are a daughter, Jessica Walden (Terry) of North Myrtle Beach, a son, Sam Shealy (Kim) of Saluda, a brother, James Moore (Diane) of Saluda, a sister-in-law, Tammy Moore of Batesburg, three grandchildren, Jordyn Walden, Lake Shealy, and Lynlee Shealy, and many loved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Moore.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Good Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Lee Going officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, https://www.komen.org/ or the National Kidney Foundation, https://www.kidney.org/ in memory of Amy Moore.
