B L Rodgers, 68, died Monday, January 20, 2014 at his residence.

Born in Saluda County and a son of the late Olin Lee and Zora Davis Rodgers, he was the husband of Lexie Lucile "Lucy" Turner Rodgers. Mr. Rodgers served in The South Carolina National Guard 122nd Engineer Company in Edgefield. He was a heavy equipment operator with Greenwood County and attended Bible Believers Congregational Holiness Church. He enjoyed hunting with family and friends.

Surviving are his wife, Lexie Lucile "Lucy" Turner Rodgers, a brother Ralph Rodgers (Bobbie) of Saluda and several nieces and nephews that called him Pa.

Funeral services will be held 3:30 pm, Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Bible Believers Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Danny Jones and Rev. Ray Butler officiating. Interment will follow in Mayson Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 2 pm in the church social hall.
