Barnie Lewis Turner, Jr., 77, of 218 Country Pond Road, Saluda, husband of Fannie Mae Adams Turner, passed away peacefully at home October 21, 2017. Born August 26, 1940, he was the son of the late Barnie and Jeanette B. Turner. A long-time supervisor with Greenwood Mills, he retired from the Sloan plant in Ninety Six. He was a contract hauler in the logging industry, and a lifelong farmer. He was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

Surviving is his wife, of the home; three daughters, Peggy (Pickens) Polatty and Pansy (Jon) Watkins, both of Saluda, and Mandy (David) Bryan of Chappells; a sister, Mableen Frick of Chapin, brothers Martin (Becky) Turner and Fred (Sharon) Turner of Ninety Six; grandchildren Andrew (Elizabeth) Polatty, Caleb (Emily) Polatty, Jonathon (Caroline) Watkins, Joni Watkins, Joshua (Perrin) Bryan, and Jacob Bryan; and great-grandchildren Thomas and Hannah Polatty, and Nathan, Daniel, and Samuel Watkins. He was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Turner.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2017 at Good Hope Baptist Church with the Reverend Jeremy Beauford officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Good Hope cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home Sunday afternoon.
