Beatrice Kneece Cockrell, 89, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at her home.

Born in Ward, SC, she was the daughter of the late Grover C. and Annie Johnikins Kneece, and widow of Earl "Red" Cockrell. She was a retired Secretary of Saluda Nursing Center and member of Red Bank Baptist Church.

Beatrice "Peewee" Cockrell enjoyed baking cakes for the grandchildren and Great-grandchildren, as well as breads for members of the community. Beatrice also loved fall trips to the mountains of North Carolina.

Surviving are two sons, James Earl Cockrell (Linda) of Gilbert SC and John Wesley Cockrell of Saluda SC, three grandchildren, Matthew Earl Cockrell (Ashley) of Chapin, Brandon Lee Cockrell (Nikki) of Leesville and Cody Wesley Cockrell (Bree) of Greenwood, seven Great-grandchildren, Kinsley Ann Cockrell and Paisleigh Rayne Cockrell (Matthew & Ashley), Brianna Lee Cockrell, Brantley Thomas Cockrell, Braelynn Grace Cockrell and Amelia Nicole Cockrell (Brandon), Blye Wesley Cockrell (Cody & Bree).

Mrs. Cockrell is preceded in death by two daughters, Carolyn Louise Cockrell and Deborah Ann Cockrell Berry, eight brothers and five sisters.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, October 22, 2021 at Red Bank Baptist Church with Rev. Burton Campbell and Rev. Tommy Mitchell officiating.
