Berta Eoline "Lene" Buffington Shaw, 80, died Friday, October 23, 2015 at Lexington Medical Center.

Born in Saluda County and a daughter of the late Jesse Lee and Berta Palmer Buffington, she was the wife of the late Robert Carlisle Shaw. Mrs. Shaw was a retired LPN with Saluda Nursing Center. She was a member of Hickory Grove Advent Christian Church and the Hickory Grove Senior Citizen Group.

Surviving are a daughter, Deborah S. (W. David) Camp of Saluda, a son, Robert Wayne (Tammy) Shaw of Saluda, a brother, W.L. Buffington of Woodland Hills, CA, four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Shaw was preceded in death by four brothers, Hammond Buffington, Horace Buffington, Joe Lee Buffington and Sherrill Buffington and five sisters, Vera Mae Riley, Lois B. Rollins, Moselle Able, Sally Crouch and Latrelle Barnes.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, October 26, 2015 at Hickory Grove Advent Christian Church with Rev. Tommy Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
