Born in Honea Path, SC, and a daughter of the late Henry and Claudia Long, she was married to the late Elbert Clark Edwards. She was an active member of Richland Springs Baptist Church and an avid member of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are one son, Henry Clark Edwards of Ward; one daughter, Sharon Edwards Miller of Ward; two grandchildren, Michael Clark Edwards and Alicia Michelle Bailey; two great-grandchildren, William Reed Edwards and Joshua Daniel Bailey and one sister, Ann Gray.

Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Clark Edwards; a grandson, Daniel Jason Miller, and a brother, William Long.
