Betty Uldine Gayle, 87, died Sunday, December 4, 2016 at her residence.

Born in Huntington, WV, she was a daughter of the late Burl Buran and Blanche Gertrude Lynn Spurlock. Mrs. Gayle was a former employee of ASCO. She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church and a longtime member of River of Life Church in Aiken.

Surviving are a son, James D. Gayle, III (Laura) of Saluda and two grandchildren, Kimberly Gayle and Jamie Gayle.

Mrs. Gayle was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Spurlock and a sister, Kathleen Spurlock.

A Memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, December 9, 2016 at Good Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy Beauford officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Good Hope Baptist Church, 1738 Greenwood Highway, Saluda, SC 29138.
