Saluda, SC

Betty Toney Hopkins, 82, died Saturday, March 9, 2019 at her residence.

Born in Union County and a daughter of the late Glenn Toney, Sr. and Nancy Aileen Eaves Toney, she was the wife of the late George William Hopkins. Mrs. Hopkins was a former accountant with Saluda Appliance and TV, she was a lifelong church organist and was a member of New Horizon Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, George Wilbur Hopkins (Kim) of Saluda, a grandson, Hunter Hopkins the absolute apple of her eye and a special sister friend, Brenda Nix of Saluda.

Mrs. Hopkins was preceded in death by a son, Michael Gene Littlejohn and a brother, Glenn Toney, Jr.

Pursuant to Mrs. Hopkins wishes a graveside service will be held 3 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Chestnut Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Joey Boggs officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
