Saluda, SC
Betty Ernestine Langford Palmer, 84, died Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Saluda Nursing Center.
Born in Saluda County and a daughter of the late Ernest Walter and Katie Caughman Langford, she was the wife of the late Joe Henry Palmer. Mrs. Palmer was a retired School Bus Driver and Teacher Aide for Saluda County School District. She was a member of Emanuel Church, the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are two daughters, Patra Kirkland Langford (Bob) of Waterloo and Robin Kirkland Salters (Mose) of Saluda, two brothers, Bobby Ray Langford of Greenwood and Larry Langford of Franklin, NC, seven grandchildren, Detra Sanders, Marvin McGee, Jr., Kasey McGee (Whitney), Ernie Salters (Jackie), Jessie Salters (Leah), Blake Salters and Buddy Salters and seven great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Travis Park Cemetery with Rev. Burton Campbell officiating.
