Betty Miller

Betty Jean Rodgers Miller, 83, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Lexington Medical Center.

Born on September 15, 1941, in Saluda County, and was a daughter of the late John and Janie McGee Rodgers, she was the wife of Raymond Miller. Mrs. Miller retired from the Department of Social Services and was a faithful member of St. William's Catholic Church.

Betty found endless joy in the pages of a good book and her love for reading was only matched by the deep affection she had for her family. Nothing brought her more happiness than the laughter and warmth of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Raymond Miller; daughter, Cynthia Polyak (Luke) of Batesburg, sons, Steven Miller of Ward and Russell Miller (Candice) of Batesburg; a brother, Wallace Andrew Rodgers (Linda) of Ward; grandchildren, Cody Polyak (Lindsey), Katie Miller, Texanna Miller Downey (Ryley), and Quinten Miller; and great-grandchildren, Laiton Polyak, Owen Polyak, Asher Patrick, and Brooklyn Downey.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by twin grandsons, Zachary and Jeremy Polyak.

A funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at St. William's Catholic Church with Father Finnerty officiating. Interment will follow at Furman Matthews Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church social hall.

The pallbearers are Chris Rodgers, David Miller, Greg Rikard, Jeff Rikard, Lee Miller, and Mike Rodgers. Honorary Pallbearers are Cody Polyak and Quinten Miller.
