Betty Jo Werts

On July 13, 2020, Betty Jo Werts (known as BJ to family and friends) passed away at the age of 63 after a long battle with cancer. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

BJ Was born in Saluda, SC on January 12, 1957 to Jessie Smith Werts and David William Werts, Sr. She will be forever remembered and loved by her children Chad Arant (Marci Arant) and Kori Miller, and her three grandsons Mason, Drew, and Noah. She is also survived by her mother Jessie Werts, and her siblings Brenda Moons (Chris Moons), Jane Autrey (Todd Bryant), and David Werts, Jr. (Maribeth Werts).

BJ will also be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews Joshua Uhlar, Amber Newby, Mikell Autrey, Stephanie Gentry, Christina Moons-Sturgill, Brad Werts, Jess Werts, as well as her long time friend Tom Tyler.

BJ is predeceased by her father, David W. Werts, Sr.

Due to COVID-19, a private graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, July 17 at 7:00 pm at West Travis Park Cemetery.
