Beverley Edwards

Beverley Wyman Edwards, 83, passed away March 15, 2024, at Hospice House of Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont in Greenwood.

Born in Batesburg, SC, and a son of the late Beverley Byrd Edwards and Effie Maggie Edwards, he was the husband of Otalie Montina Rodgers Edwards. Mr. Edwards retired from the South Carolina Department of Transportation in Saluda. He was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church.

Surviving alongside his wife of 53 years is a daughter, Gwen Wood (Anthony) of Ward, a son, Timothy Wyman Edwards (LaRhonda) of Benton, Tennessee, two brothers, James Harvey Edwards (Hale) of Charleston and Richard "Bud" Edwards of Greenville, GA, a sister, Diane Edwards of Saluda, two grandchildren, Ashley Kay Nickel and Tommy Lee Wood and a great-granddaughter, Elysia Wood.

Mr. Edwards is preceded in death by two sisters, Patricia "Pat" Edwards and Faye Kyler and a brother, Randy Edwards.

Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, March 18, 2024, at Red Bank Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathan Deal officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church social hall.
