Billie Ray Corley

Billie Ray Corley, 72, died Monday, September 5, 2022 at Lexington Medical Center.

Born in Saluda County and a son of the late, James Birma Corley and Sarah Christine Perdue Corley, he was the husband of Kathy Yvonne Turner Corley. Mr. Corley was a retired Superintendent from the Saluda County Road and Bridges. He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church and served on the cemetery committee for Cleve Matthews Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Kathy Yvonne Turner Corley, a son, Kable Corley (Aliene) of Batesburg, a daughter, DeDe Ward (Roger) of Leesville, a granddaughter he loved very much and was so proud of her, Chloe Ward, five step-grandchildren, Haleigh Herlong, B.J. Herlong (Chelsea), Hunter Herlong (Stephanie), Kaylyn Herlong and Bethany Herlong and three step-great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Jeffery and Haisley.

Mr. Corley was preceded in death by a brother, James Glenn Corley.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, September 9, 2022 at Cleve Matthews Cemetery with Rev. Burton Campbell and Rev. Dennis Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service and at other times at the home of Mr. Corley.
