Bobby E. Crouch, 91 , died Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood.
Born in Saluda County and a son of the late, Bennie Belton and Sudie Elizabeth Schumpert Crouch, he was the husband of the late Lou Frances Riley Crouch. Mr. Crouch was a graduate of Saluda High School and was a retired supervisor from Saluda Knitting Mill. He was a member of Butler United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday School and was the organist for 60 years, as well as playing at Bethany UMC. A lover of gardening, he also enjoyed quilting and cooking. He was a member of Woodmen of the World.
Surviving are a son, Michael Crouch of Saluda, a daughter, Brenda Turner (Keith) of Saluda, a sister, Mary Berry of Saluda, six grandchildren, Cristy Bush (Jamie), Amy Crouch, Shane Crouch, Belinda Rushton (Brad), Robin Hall (Durand) and Kayla Matthews (Ryan), nineteen great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Crouch was preceded in death by five brothers, Joe Ben Crouch, Jim Crouch, Carrol Edward Crouch, John Crouch and Fate Crouch, and a sister, Lois Matthews.
A funeral service will be held at 3 PM, Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at Butler United Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Higgins and Rev. Durand Hall officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service. Due to COVID-19, the family encourages wearing masks inside of the church.
