Bobby Ray Ivie, 83, died Friday, April 3, 2015 at Hospice care of the Piedmont, Hospice House.
Born in Barrow County, GA and a son of the late Turner Cleveland and Ila Grace Cheely Ivie, he was the husband of Rae Wilson Ivie. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Ivie was first employed with Greenwood Mills and later Consolidated Yarn in Trenton. He then was a Policeman with the town of Saluda for thirteen years. Mr. Ivie was a member of Matthews United Methodist Church in Greenwood.
Surviving are his wife, Rae Wilson Ivie, children, Greg Ivie of Hodges, Cyndy Timmerman (Edgar) of Powdersville, Ted Price (Lisa) of Celebration, FL, Steve Price (Kim) of Saluda, Roxanne Padgett (Russell) of Simpsonville, Marilyn Price (Jason) of Saluda and Vic Price (Tiffiny) of Saluda, a sister, Corene Harkins of Gainesville, GA, thirteen beloved grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m., Monday, April 6, 2015 at Ramey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stacy Smith officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
