Brenda Delores Kneece Shorter, 66, died Saturday, February 3, 2018 in Saluda Nursing Center .

Born in Edgefield County, and a daughter of Peggy Hilliard Allen and the late Harold Kneece, she was the wife of the late Robert Lee Shorter, Sr. Mrs. Shorter was a retired school teacher with Saluda School District One and was a member of Saluda Baptist Church.

Surviving are her son, Robert Lee Shorter, Jr. (Pam Turner) of Johnston, her mother, Peggy Hilliard Allen of Saluda, two brothers, Donnie Kneece and Mitchell Kneece both of Saluda, a stepbrother, Jim Allen of Johnston, two stepsisters, Kathy Fleury of Johnston and Nella Allen of Greenwood and a grandson, Lee Shorter (Kacie) of Saluda.

Mrs. Shorter was preceded in death by a brother, Lee Kneece.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Monday, February 5, 2018 at Saluda Baptist Church with Rev. Stacy Smith, Rev. Trey Shealy, Rev. Vernon Ball and Rev. Burton Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
