Byron Oscar Taylor, 63, died Monday, December 10, 2018 at his residence.

Born in Saluda County and a son of Kathren Rushton Taylor Timmerman and the late Henry Lee Taylor, he was the husband of Rev. Yvonne Cockrell Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a self-employed auto mechanic. He was a member of 96 Congregational Holiness Church and the Mens Brotherhood.

Surviving are his wife, Rev. Yvonne Cockrell Taylor, his mother, Kathren Rushton Taylor Timmerman of Saluda, a daughter, Marie DeLoache of Saluda, a son, Byron Stewart Taylor (Jessica) of Saluda, three grandchildren, Wendy Marie Powell (Daniel), Shelton DeLoache and Brooklyn Taylor all of Saluda and two sisters, Barbara Jones and Myranda Salters (Brooks) both of Saluda.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by a brother, Brynon Taylor and two sisters, Myrtle Long and Kathie Crapps.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday evening at Ramey Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 96 Congregational Holiness Church with Rev. Larry Roland and Rev. Jeff Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Rushton Family Cemetery.
