Saluda, SC
Calvin Cannon Halyburton, 90, died Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Saluda Nursing Center.
Born in Hickory, NC and a son of the late Thomas Earl and Janie Rebecca Cannon Halyburton, he was the husband of the late Sigrid Adelaide Francis Halyburton. Mr. Halyburton served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was a graduate of Newbery College in 1951 where he received his BS degree.. He was a high school math teacher and was a former restaurant owner in Charleston.
Surviving are a son, William Cannon Halyburton of Saluda, a daughter, Sigrid H. Nichols (Thomas) of Saluda and two grandchildren, Rachel Nichols and Sarah Nichols.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Corinth Lutheran Church Cemetery with Rev. Pam Turfa officiating.
