Carol Ramage "Buck" Davis, 88, died Wednesday, October 31, 2018 in Saluda Nursing Center.

Born in Saluda County and a son of the late Gary Davis and Rose Paysinger Davis, he was the husband of Miriam Ilene Boone Davis. Mr. Davis was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was retired owner and operator of Saluda Tire Service, a former Saluda County Veterans Affairs Officer and a former Master of Equity for Saluda County. He was a charter member of Saluda Baptist Church and a former deacon. Mr. Davis also was a member of the American Legion for 50 years, a former school board member of W. Wyman King Academy and a charter member of the Saluda Civitan Club.

Surviving are his wife, Miriam Ilene Boone Davis, a daughter, Susan D. Nichols (David) of Prosperity, a son, Kenneth Ramage Davis (Teresa) of Saluda and five grandchildren, Kayla Nichols, Miriam Nichols, Adam Nichols, Jonathan Davis and Emily Rose Davis.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Saluda Baptist Church with Rev. Mayhew West officiating. Interment will follow in Travis Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church foyer.
