Charles Rushton
Charles Wesley Rushton, 72, died Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
Born in Union, SC and a son of the late John Wesley Rushton and Letie Veta Hughes Rushton, he was the husband of the late Marsha Ellen Cockrell Rushton. Mr. Rushton was a retired electrician and previously served on the Saluda County Library Board. He was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church.
Surviving are two brothers, Michael C. Rushton (Jan) and Kent Rushton (Glenda) both of Saluda, a stepson, Russell Lott (Teresa) of Anderson, an uncle, Russell A. Hughes of Saluda, four step-grandchildren, three nieces and a nephew.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Shiloh Methodist Church with Rev. Gerald Clinkscales officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
Memorials may be made to Shiloh Methodist Church, 1305 Shiloh Road, Saluda, SC 29138.
