Cheryll "Cheri" Crouch
Cheryll "Cheri" Long Crouch, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on her 80th birthday, February 18, 2026, at Saluda Nursing Center surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 18, 1946 in Saluda, South Carolina, Cheri was the daughter of John and Bessie Long, who predeceased her.
Cheri was the devoted wife of Tommie "Bird" Crouch, with whom she shared a marriage filled with joy and adventure until his passing in 2002. Together, they were a dynamic duo, always ready to spread happiness and laughter. Those fortunate enough to be in their company were guaranteed an abundance of fun and unforgettable moments.
A proud alumna of Saluda High School and Winthrop College, Cheri dedicated her professional life to the Saluda Heath Department, where she worked in the Home Health office.
Cheri's personality was as vibrant as her laughter, which was both quick and contagious. Her love for shopping and dining out was only matched by her love for all her family. She is survived by three children, Scott Crouch (Tricia), John Crouch (Laura), and Carroll Crouch (Robin) all of Saluda; her cherished six grandchildren, Madison (Darren), Cooper, Hagen, Logen, Walker, and Boone; her brother, Charlie Long; and a special cousin, Angie O'Donnell.
The family will hold a graveside service to honor Cheri's life on February 23, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Travis Park Cemetery, 407 E. Butler Avenue, Saluda, SC 29138. It will be a time to celebrate her life and remember the joy she brought into the lives of all who knew her. The family will receive friends following the service at Emmanuel Church, 793 Columbia Highway, Saluda, SC 29138.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and aides on the A/B unit at Saluda Nursing Center for their extraordinary compassion and care during Cheri's time there. A special thank you is extended to Dr. Bill Sawyer for his unwavering dedication and support.
Cheris's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her quick wit, infectious laughter, and love for life will forever be remembered as a testament to a life well-lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in memory of Cheri to a charity of your choice.
