Christopher Harrison

Christopher Allen Harrison, 48, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2025, at his home.

Born in Greenwood County, he was a son of Donna Winn Black and Edwin Blake Harrison. Chris graduated from Saluda High School and immediately began his career working alongside his uncles at Columbia Nitrogen. He was currently a valued employee at Clearwater Paper in Augusta, where he was highly regarded for his reliability, strong work ethic, and friendly nature.

Chris held a great love for his family and his faith, having attended Corinth Lutheran Church in his younger years. He lived out his faith by showing great compassion for all around him. Chris had many passions, with a deep interest for Clemson sports, the quality and innovation of Milwaukee tools, and the art of photography and technology. He was a true animal lover and found joy in the companionship of his dogs. He was particularly proud of training his own Jack Russell Terriers, with whom he achieved several awards in shows.

Surviving are his mother and step father, Donna Winn Black and Wayne Black of Prosperity, his father, Edwin Blake Harrison of TN, two brothers, Dan Harrison (Jessica) of West Columbia, and Will Black (Brea) of Prosperity, a nephew, Jackson Harrison, two nieces, Zoey Harrison and Evie Black, aunts and uncles, Russell and Terry Winn of Saluda, and Kenneth and Cheryl Winn of Greenwood, and numerous cousins.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Corinth Lutheran Church with Rev. William Strand officiating. Interment will follow at Emory Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the social hall.
