Clinty Clark
Clinton "Clinty" Thomas Clark, 82, of Saluda died Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Saluda Nursing Center.
Born on June 6, 1936 in Johnston, he was a son of the late Clinton Lee and Blanche Ripley Clark.
He was a member of The Saluda and South Carolina Cattleman's Association and the American Angus Association.
Mr. Clark was a former logger and currently owned High Point Farms. He enjoyed fishing and coaching the Hustlers ladies softball team. In his younger years he was an avid coon hunter. Clinty was known as a hard worker and will be remembered most by his strong will and determination.
He is survived by his daughters, Marilyn Clark Barnes (Wayne) of Batesburg, Janice Clark Gardner (Terry), and Didi Clark Rankin (Rusty Blackwell) all of Saluda; granddaughters, Lacy Coleman Vaughn (Eric), Loren Gardner Shealy (Grant), and Whitney Gardner Price (Josh); step-grandchildren, Shay Barnes, Dusty Blackwell, and Billy Blackwell (Damia); nine great-grandchildren; brother, Roy Clark (Marci) of Columbia; nephew, Reid Clark (Magan) of Blythewood; and a great-nephew, Cody Clark.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Vanoy Miller Clark and a brother, Glenn Clark.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Sardis Baptist Church Fellowship Hall
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Sardis Baptist Church by Rev. Michael Bell and Rev. Burton Campbell.
Burial will follow at Furman Matthews Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Barnes, Terry Gardner, Rusty Blackwell, Eric Vaughn, Grant Shealy, and Josh Price.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Feaster, Tommy Gunter, Patrick Hurt, Aubrey Padgett, Phil Perry, Travis Mitchell, Gwinn Quattlebaum, and Kevin Yon.
The family thanks Saluda Nursing Center Staff and Dr. William Sawyer for their care and a special thank you to Nichole Culbreath, Teresa Griffin and Sharon Springs for their loving and exceptional care.
