Clyde Turner, 82, died Sunday, January 3, 2016 at his residence.

Born in Saluda County, he was the son of the late Robert Matthew and Rosie Bell Rowe Turner. Mr. Turner served in the US Air Force and was retired from Daniel Construction and a farmer. He was a member of Butler United Methodist Church.

Surviving are a brother, Tony Turner of Prosperity, a sister, Lelia Mae Crenshaw of Saluda and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Turner was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Butler United Methodist Church with Rev. Lee Cothran officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
