Connie Klear Harmon
Connie Klear Harmon, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and artist, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025 surrounded by love and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Janice and Gallen Klear, and her sister, Kathy Gunn. She is survived by her devoted husband, Allen Harmon; her daughters, Brook Harmon and Drew Luangxay; their partners, Brandon Pugh and Pat Luangxay; her grandchildren, Kai and Oliver Luangxay; and her faithful companion, Maggie.
Connie was a gifted artist who found joy in sewing, painting, and drawing, leaving behind a legacy of beautiful creations. She also delighted in capturing memories from her many travels through scrapbooking. When the weather turned warm, she loved to fish and vacation at the beach. Her career was marked by dedication and compassion. She worked for many years as a dental hygienist for Dr. Wyman Shealy before earning her degree in education and becoming a literacy teacher at Saluda Elementary School.
Connie was deeply loved by her family, friends, and neighbors. She leaves behind cherished memories and a lasting imprint on the lives she touched. Her kindness, creativity, and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
A graveside memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m., on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Travis Park Cemetery with Rev. Burton Campbell and Rev. Kyle Harmon officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
