Curtis Lee Schumpert, 86, died Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Saluda Nursing Center.

Born in Saluda County, he was a son of the late George William Schumpert, Sr. and Louise Yarborough Schumpert. Mr. Schumpert was a US Air Force veteran and was a retired store manager. He was a member of Hickory Grove Advent Christian Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Judy Krebs of Saluda, two sons, Daniel Schumpert and Curtis L. Schumpert, Jr. both of Saluda, a brother, Milton Schumpert of Columbia, six grandchildren and five great-grandchild.

Mr. Schumpert was preceded in death by a son, Larry Dale Schumpert , four brothers, Jacob V. "Schump" Schumpert, James Schumpert, Pete Schumpert and George William Schumpert, Jr., two sisters, Ann Eidson Wofford and Mary S. Senterfeit and two grandsons, Travis Dunn and Daniel Dunn..

A Memorials service will be held 1 p.m., Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Hickory Grove Advent Christian Church with Rev. Tommy Mitchell officiating.
