Dan Ricky Burkett

Dan Ricky Burkett, 69, died Monday, September 27, 2021 at Aiken Regional Medical Center.

Born in Aiken County and a son of the late Dan L. Burkett and Ida Mae Lowe Burkett, he was the husband of Syderis Dominick Burkett. Mr. Burkett earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina. He was a former employee of Graniteville Company in Graniteville, SC and was retired from Savannah River Site.

Surviving are his wife of almost 45 years, Syderis Dominick Burkett, two brothers, Jerry Burkett (Lori) of Aiken and Julius Burkett (Janeene Taylor) of Gilbert, a sister, Sandra Richardson (Lee) of Aiken, a brother-in-law, Robert Dominick (Mary) of Saluda, a sister-in-law, Daphne Kyzer (Larry) of Saluda, a mother-in-law, Katherine Dominick of Saluda and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, October 1, 2021 at Cleves Matthews Cemetery, 1645 Matthews Rd., Batesburg, SC 29006 with Rev. Jared T. Kyzer officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cleves Matthews Cemetery, 2070 New Holland Rd., Wagener, SC 29164 or to the charity of one's choice.
