Darlene Frances Hyman Sweat, 64, died Friday, March 31, 2017 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Laurens County and a daughter of the late DeWitt Hubert and Annie Ruth Hyman , she was the wife of the late Marvin Lewis "Buck" Sweat. Jr. Mrs. Sweat was a homemaker and a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Virgil Stoney Sweat (Omega) and Daniel Lewis Sweat both of Saluda, a daughter, Tammy Denise Glanton (Bill) of Edgefield, two sisters, Frances Turner of Trenton and Lucy Berry of Edgefield and five grandchildren, Virgil Stoney Sweat, Jr., Jacqueline Shannon Sweat, Haley Alexandria Davis, Lindsey Darlene Glanton and William Gwyen Glanton, Jr.

Mrs. Sweat was preceded in death by two brothers, Wallace Hyman and Johnny Hyman and two sisters, Wilma Feagin and Carolyn Cleveland.

A Graveside service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Mayson Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Jeremy Beauford officiating.
