David Vansant, Jr.

David Austin Vansant, Jr., 80, died Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Agape Hospice House of Lexington.

Born in Ward, SC, he was the son of the late David Austin Vansant, Sr. and Gladys Ruth Trotter Vansant. Mr. Vansant was a U.S. Army veteran during the Korean Conflict and a retired Independent Contractor. He was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church.

Surviving are two sisters, Bess Tennant (Gaston) of Lynchburg, VA and Sandra Hollingsworth (Jim) of Grassy Creek, NC, a brother in-law, Jerald Bozeman of Auburn, AL, and several nieces and nephews, Chad Tennant, Shannon Dietrich, Jay Hollingsworth, Jamie Grandic, Eddie Bozeman and Jan Bozeman.

Mr. Vansant was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Bozeman.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Good Hope Lutheran Church with Rev. Kyle Harmon and Rev. Regionald Cruse officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
