Dean Williams
W. Dean Williams, 90, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Hospice House of Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont surrounded by his family.
Born in Lancaster and a son of the late Ansel Williams and Mary Jane Barr Williams, he was the husband of the late Sue Dixon Williams. Mr. Dean served in the United States Airforce. He retired as manager from Milliken after working with them for 30 years. He was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church and was a deacon.
Mr. Dean was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who lived his life with unwavering faith, deep love for his family, and a profound respect for his country.
Surviving are, two daughters, Cynthia W. Davis of Johnston and Fern W. Potter of Lexington, two sons, Kelly D. Williams (Donna) of Manassas, Virginia and Bennie Williams of Aiken, a brother, Crawford Williams of Shreveport, Louisiana, six grandchildren, Steven M. Derrick, II of Yellowstone National Park, Marshal Williams of Manassas, Virginia, Christopher Williams of Aiken, Crystal Waller of Aiken, Sue Ellen Batchelor of Alabama and Glenn Davis of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, numerous great-grandchildren, a niece, Bambi Lee (Tony) of Shreveport, Louisiana, a nephew, Danny Williams of Texas and a great-niece, Hannah Lee.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by an infant brother, Louie Ansel Williams.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Red Bank Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jonathan Deal officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in Red Bank Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
