Deborah Elizabeth "Debbie" Scott Lomax, 68, passed away Friday, November 10, 2023, at Lexington Medical Center.

Born in Fort Jackson, SC, and a daughter of the late Henry Linton Scott, Jr., and Evelyn Mitchell Scott, she was the wife of Randy Darrell Lomax. Mrs. Lomax was a graduate of Brookland-Cayce High School in 1973, she then went to Garder Webb College and transferred to Winthrop where she graduated in 1977. She started working at the Department of Mental Health in 1977 at Crafts-Farrow State Hospital for 29 years. Then worked at Carrol Campbell Place. She grew up in Park Street Baptist Church in Columbia and was a member of Rehoboth Methodist Church. She truly loved to do crafts, taking pride in making gifts for her friends and family. Debbie also loved spending time with her two granddaughters, whom she adored.

Surviving are her husband of 29 years, Randy Lomax of Leesville, a daughter, Casey Scott Nichols (Ryan) of Saluda, two granddaughters, Palmer Nichols, and Price Nichols both of Saluda, and numerous cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Corinth Lutheran Church with Rev. William Strand officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
