Donnie Rhoden Trotter, 67, died Friday, June 3, 2016 at his residence.

Born in Saluda County and a son of the late Willie A. "Dub" Trotter and Mary Rhoden Thomas, he was the husband of Janice Rodgers Trotter. Mr. Trotter was a retired truck driver with Knight Industries and Ryder System Inc. He was a huge rodeo fan and was a member of Richland Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Janice Rodgers Trotter, a daughter, April Wix (Fenley) of Newberry, a son, Brandon Lee Rhodes of Ward, a sister, Joye Cook (Carl) of Livingston, TX, four grandchildren, Austin Merchant (Allyson), Chole Evans, Jasalyn Evans and Bridget Rhodes, a special nephew, Keevin Glaze of Ward, a special great-niece, Sabrina Glaze and two nephews, Jason Martin and Todd Martin.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Regency Hospice and Belinda Jones for their love and care.

Mr. Trotter was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Ann Martin, a son, Donnie R. Trotter, Jr. and a stepfather, B.M. Thomas.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Sunday evening at Ramey Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, June 6, 2016 at Richland Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Hurt Family Cemetery.
