Dora Helen Shealy Connelly, 93, passed away December 1, 2023, at her home.

Born in Newberry County and a daughter of the late Marion Horace Shealy and Toy Chapman Shealy, she was the wife of the late Alfred Brooks Connelly.

Mrs. Connelly was a member of Nazareth United Methodist Church. Alongside her husband, she was the owner of Connelly Farms, where many memories were made in the strawberry patch by visitors. Mrs. Connelly thoroughly enjoyed working in her garden and yard, tending to her flowers, as well as quilting and crocheting.

Survivors are her son, Sammy Connelly (Aileen) of Batesburg; grandchildren, Joshua Brooks Connelly (Alexys) of Buffalo, SC and Anna Marie Connelly of Greenwood; step-grandchildren, Meredith Miller Rikard (Brandon) of Saluda, Jocelyn Miller Snider (David) of Gilbert, Neysa Miller Quattlebaum (Fred) of Batesburg, Robert Hall Miller (Amber) of Leesville and Keegan Beron Miller (Charley Ann) of Columbia; and twelve step great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Rosa Lee Davis, Lawrence Shealy, Lena Black, Kelly Shealy, and Billy Shealy; and a step great-granddaughter, Ruby Louise Snider.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Nazareth United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service in the Church Educational Building.
