Saluda, SC
Doris Leila Whiteside Goff, 87, died Monday, March 25, 2019 at Saluda Nursing Center.
Born in Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late Nevin W. "Bud" Whiteside and Bertie Eargle Whiteside. Mrs. Goff retired from Longs Pharmacy in 2017 and was employed 20 years with Monsanto. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, Nevin Richard Goff (Valera) of Gable, SC, a daughter, Sherrie Goff Wilson (James Allen) of Saluda, eight grandchildren, Ginny Mack (Patrick), Ricky Goff (Breena), Charlie Goff (Crystal), Amy Culick (Will), Tommy Goff (Lori Ann), Erin Leigh Wilson, Cyndel W. Robinson (Jacob) and James Colton Wilson (Jennifer), nineteen great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, Beverly Whiteside of W. Palm Beach, FL and Bobbie Whiteside of Lexington, a niece and two nephews.
Mrs. Goff was preceded in death by two brothers, Horace Whiteside and Nevin "Junior" Whiteside, Jr.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Saluda Nursing Center and MSA Hospice.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, March 28, 2019 at St. Paul United Methodist Church with Rev. Susan Maddox officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the Family Life Center.
