Dorothy Cromer

Dorothy Irene Turner Cromer, 91, died Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood.

Born in Saluda County and a daughter of the late William and Sophie Bledsoe Turner, she was the wife of the late Bruce Willard Cromer. Mrs. Cromer was a homemaker and was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church. Mrs. Cromer dedicated 40 years of service to her Lord and Savior and her church through the nursery at Red Bank Baptist Church. Her passion was caring for and nurturing others, especially the little ones.

Surviving are a son, Charles Gerald Cromer (Pam) of Saluda, a daughter, Marlene Bushey (Bill) of Saluda, four grandchildren, Jeremy Cromer, Joey Cromer (Ashlie), Kristin Stoudemayer (Derek) and Brian Bushey and a great-granddaughter, Charlie Cromer.

Mrs. Cromer was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jessica Bushey, three brothers, Bill Turner, Roy Turner and Wediman Turner, two sisters, Lee Davis and Lula Mae Rushton and her dear mother in law, Ellen Salters Cromer.

Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Monday, September 23, 2019 at Red Bank Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Holcombe and Rev. Dan Griffin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
