Edelphia Jones Rushton, 88, died Friday, January 15, 2016 at Saluda Nursing Center.

Born in Saluda County and a daughter of the late Roy Dempsy and Lillian Parrish Jones, she was the wife of the late Olin Dudley Rushton, Sr. Mrs. Rushton was retired from Greenwood Mills - Sloan Plant and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church.

Surviving are four sons, Ronald Rushton (Linda) of Orangeburg, Dudley Rushton (Dorcas) of Saluda, Leslie Rushton and Ed Rushton both of Ninety Six, eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and Billy Woodall of Saluda whom she considered one of her own.

Mrs. Rushton was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Sunday evening at Ramey Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, January 18, 2016 at Good Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy Beauford and Rev. Lee Cothran officiating. Interment will follow in Travis Park Cemetery.
