Elisabeth "Libby" Ann Griffith Mizell, 46, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021.
Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of George Franklin and Winifred Rae Hurt Griffith, and wife of Matthew John Mizell. She was a homemaker and previously attended Bob Jones University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She attended Concord Baptist Church and Richland Springs Baptist Church since returning to Saluda.
Surviving are her husband, Matthew John Mizell of St. Louis, MO, a son, John "Jack" Wade Mizell, a daughter, Elisabeth "Ella" Aurelia Mizell, her parents, George Franklin and Winifred Rae Hurt Griffith of Saluda, two brothers, Gary Wayne Griffith and Walter Hammond Griffith, both of Saluda, and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Mizell is preceded in death by a brother, George Wade Griffith.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM, Friday, September 3, 2021 at Ramey Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Furman Matthews Cemetery with Rev. Zac Knight and Rev. Mike Troxel officiating.
Memorials may be made to Richland Springs Baptist Church, c/o Disaster Relief, 1895 Duncan Road, Ward, SC 29166.
