Elise Costner Walton, 86, died Monday, August 10, 2020 at Regional Medical Center of Orangeburg.
Born in Edgefield County and a daughter of the late Doctor Acie Costner and Zuline Hastings Costner, she was the wife of George Hammond Walton. Mrs. Walton was a former employee of Park Seed in Greenwood and was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, George Hammond Walton, a daughter, Mary Williams (Thomas) of Springfield, two sons, James Acie Walton of North and George Hammond Walton, Jr. of St. Matthews, a twin sister, Louise Edwards of Edgefield, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Walton was preceded in death by a sister, Chris Costner Sizemore.
Due to Covid-19 a private memorial service will be held Monday, August 17, 2020 at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church with Pastor Myra Taylor officiating.
