Elizabeth Ora Rodgers Long Gillian

Elizabeth Ora Rodgers Long Gillian, 90 of Ward, SC passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022.

Born November 8, 1931 in Ward, SC and a daughter of the late Dave Rodgers and Ellen Forrest Rodgers, she was the wife of the late Marshall Gillian and was first married to the late Wilbur Long. Mrs. Gillian was a retired weaver from Burlington in Batesburg and was a former employee of Riegel Industries in Johnston and the Carolyn Chenille Plant. She was a devoted member of St. Williams Catholic Church and was a loving wife, mom and friend to many.

Surviving are her children, Larry "Shag" Long of Ward, Rose Rodgers (Randy) of Ward, Debbie Black (Jim) of Johnston, Marty Gillian (Tammy) of Ward and Tony Gillian (Beth) of Ward, eighteen grandchildren, Brad Long, Haley Lawson, Whitney Long, McKenzie Long, Andy Rodgers, Sherry Rodgers, Janet Black Barr, Crystal Black, Nick Gillian, Shonia Gillian, Jeremy Gillian, Christi Gillian, Justin Gillian, Anthony Gillian, Christopher Gillian, Dakota Gillian, Cohen Gillian and Tori Hartmett and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Gillian was preceded in death by a son, Johnny "Slim" Gillian.

Visitation will be held from 7 until 8 p.m., Thursday evening at St. Williams Catholic Church social hall and at other times the family will be at the home of Rose Rodgers.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, February 11, 2022 at St. Williams Catholic Church with Father Emmanuel officiating.

Burial will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Williams DCCM or Cemetery Fund, 1197 Ridge Spring Hwy., Ward, SC 29166 and MSA Hospice, 2228 Harrington St., Newberry, SC 29108.
