Eugene Franklin Forrest

Eugene Franklin Forrest, 82, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024 at Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood.

Born in Saluda County and a son of the late Henry Grady Forrest and Mattie Leila Powell Forrest, he was the husband of Judith Marie Rush Forrest. Mr. Forrest served in the SC National Guard 122 ENG Company of Saluda. He was owner and operator of Superior Mobile Homes until retirement and was a member of Saluda Church of God. Mr. Forrest found peace in the wild, whether casting a line, hunting, or tending to his garden.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 58 years, are a son, Eugene Franklin "Frankie" Forrest, Jr. of Saluda, a daughter, Dr. Amy Forrest of Greenwood, two brothers, David Forrest and George Forrest both of Saluda and two grandchildren, Erin Massey and Seth Massey.

Mr. Forrest was preceded in death by a brother, William Forrest.

A graveside memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Gassaway Cemetery with Rev. Louie Murray officiating.
