Eugene Ralph Knowlton died July 18, 2017 at his home in Chappells, SC.

Born in New Zion, SC and the son of the late Jack Knowlton and Winnie Mae Dorrell. He was married to June Jones. He was a welder, avid horseman, and craftsman. His craftmanship can be seen in his log home he constructed.

Surviving are his wife June, 5 children Ral Knowlton(Sherrie) of Donalds, SC, Timmy Knowlton(Bridget) of Greenwood, SC, Lisa Thomas(Stan) of Timmonsville, SC, Mike Byerly of Hodges, SC and Shane Byerly(Mary) of Greenwood, SC. A brother, Wayne Knowlton of New Zion, SC. 5 Grandchildren Hannah Byerly McCullough(Lucas), Shana Byerly, Tyler Knowlton, Taylor Knowlton, and Brooke Outz and two Great Grand children. Special friends Bryson Bell, Randy Cribb(Debbie) and the Miller Family of Mt. Hope, OH.
