Everett "Buddy" Butler , 73, died Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Saluda Nursing Center.

Born in Saluda County and a son of the late M.L and Kathleen Leopard Butler, he was the husband of the late Eleanor Marlene Walker Butler. Mr. Butler was a US Navy veteran and a retired yard foreman.

Surviving are three sons, Curtis G. Butler of Greenwood, Jimmy Butler (Rashel) of Saluda and Lee Butler (Leisa K.) of Columbia; a daughter, Sandra Horne (Johnny) of Saluda and five sisters; Grace Neal Pope, Brenda Goff, Linda Murray and Sheila Rodgers all of Saluda and Debbie Gillion of Greenwood, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Wednesday evening at Ramey Funeral Home and at other times will be at his residence, 145 Paradise Ln., Saluda County.

Funeral services will be held 4 p.m., Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Faith Temple Church with Rev. Johnny Horne and Curtis Butler officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
